W.E. Pielop and W.E. Pielop Jr. founded National Flame and Forge in 1940 as an outgrowth of a machine and repair shop in the backyard of their family home. From these humble beginnings, the company has grown to its present 400,000 square foot production facility providing a full range of production line and specialty work including custom forging, heat treating, machining, boring, and honing operations. As a result, National Flame and Forge has delivered thousands of ordnance forgings in addition to the hundreds of thousands of parts to the petroleum and transportation industries.
